Anzio_b6 is a work in progress featuring 1.3 anzio and source anzio combined as one map. I know that source anzio is plagued with bugs that will never be fixed, so here is a map that I'm sure fans of all dod games will enjoy. The project started off with a port of 1.3 anzio to source which was successful and is known as dod_old_anzio_b3, I will release a final version of that map down the road. Rather than dod_anzio (as we have one already) I decided to cut out the dod_ and rename it as "anzio". This is also my first attempt at using area portals and it really has payed off. I'm thinking later down the road, I might turn this map into an objective map for fun (and be named something different of course)
Took me awhile to finally kink this map out as there is a lot more detail in this map (from b5). Many areas have been tweaked for better map flow. Church, is no longer destroyed and features a side door for easy strafing. Meat locker now has a doorway where there was a crack before and one door has been removed in meat locker. Fruit stand can now peak Z but you must be standing. Sundial is now source sundial which features better mobility.
Changelog:
- Meat Locker lost one door, and gained a doorway where the crack used to be that peaked into middle flag
- Church is no longer destroyed and has better mobility
- V Crack/Axis Loft on Bridge has a doorway for easier mobility
- Fruit Stand can peak Z
- Allied Sewer into bridge house has a sand bank that allows easier access
- The Rock formation on bridge has been reworked with displacements
- Area portals are now included in the map, which will section off parts of the map that you don't see for better fps
- The ivy on short ramp to bridge was removed
- Sundial represents Source more or less and has better mobility
- Wall penetrations are closer to old_anzio_b4, walling should be easier
- Added a bunch of detail and fixed various visual bugs.
