What is VMEX used for?

To decompile levels made by VALVe, ( .bsp format)

Why the different versions in this download?

Sometimes the latest version does a good job and on some bsp files it fails!

When this happens just try another version.

Special Vulpix versions for VALVe bsp files that give errors...

Very handy for decompiling a VALVe BSP that the Version 0.98g cannot handle for unknown reasons.
(like the decompile problems with some early dods maps)
It also decompiles protected maps... that's not why it is in this download, it just happens to work on
some problem official VALVe bsp's too.

Warning: do not use to steal other authors work.
Learn to map by decompiling? Sure, but what will you learn by stealing? Make your own.
